Back to the Future | February 2012
Esquire Glass are pleased to announce the installation of a new semi-automatic backing line used for backing mirrors and splashbacks, The machine enables us to back product quicker and with vastly improved quality by giving constant even pressure as the glass passes beneath. This new piece of equipment allows us to free up man power for other areas of the factory, only requiring 2 members of staff for its operation rather than the usual 6-8 staff required when done by hand.

New for 2011, PJH go toughened... | April 2011
Splashbacks have never been so popular, historically only available in annealed glass but now more and more people are asking for a toughened option. PJH are leading the way with a new range of toughened splashbacks (available in May 2011) designed to be used behind a cooker hob. Toughened glass will give a better tolerance to higher temperatures and heat fluctuation. The glass will also have 5x the strength which all helps give the final customer greater confidence.
For further information about toughened splashbacks please contact sales@esquire-glass.co.uk

Bottero Titans installation complete | October 2010
In October 2010 we installed a new state of the art edging line, the consists of two "Bottero Titan" double edging machine, a 90 degree load transfer table, and a integrated Vitrododi washing machine, this set up allows us to edge glass between 200mm x 200mm up to 2000mm x 1600mm.
The annealed glass is placed on the first machine, two edges are simultaneously edged by 10 cup wheels on each side which is made up off 4 diamonds wheels, 1 resin wheels and 5 polish wheels. The glass is then passed onto a load transfer table (all without the aid of manual intervention), the glass is then fed into the second edging machine, it then square's up the glass before it works the remaining edge's off the glass. The glass is then fed into our washing machine, which removes all the dirt and grime that has built up.
The glass is then inspected against the work sheet, and toughened if applicable or sent to our finishing line for final assembly / packaging.
This allows us to produce polished glass up to 5 times faster than our previous capabilities.
